Every Saturday, we make pancakes at our house. It’s one of our favorite family traditions. We brew a pot of coffee.

Creatures that once resembled a fruit? even if my pancakes aren’t entirely comprised of oats, I usually include a small amount of dry oatmeal in the batter.
Why? Because oats are high in both soluble and insoluble fiber, as well as a little amount of plant protein, they assist to keep you fuller for longer than pancakes made with simply flour.
I also want them to be nutritious and filling for Queen C, since I usually prepare a few extra pancakes for her workday breakfasts.
So, where did the idea for these nutritious banana oat pancakes come from?

And these delectable banana oat pancakes are no exception!
When we were in Uganda, this is what my other half had for breakfast, and she couldn’t stop raving about it!
Prior to our Gorilla expedition, a full breakfast was required.
Banana Oatmeal Pancakes
You need try banana oatmeal pancakes from the menu, my other half selected the banana oat pancakes choice. I was eating a veggie omelette at the time.
My omelette with vegetables was wonderful. But her pick, banana pancakes with oats, was far superior – I was envious!
I just got a taste of the oatmeal pancakes, but they were delicious.
Healthy Banana Pancakes
They’re light and fluffy, with a lovely texture from the oats, and they’re topped with gobs of honey.
I couldn’t get them out of my mind! And I was planning on recreating them as soon as we returned!
So these oat-based healthy pancakes are my healthier version of those delicious holiday pancakes!
Of course, there are numerous pancake recipes to choose from. You can use butter, flour, and other ingredients.
However, I prefer to avoid using butter in our banana oat pancakes to keep them healthy.
In addition, instead of flour, I used healthy oats and ground almonds for an added protein boost.
